Temperature dependences of conductivity, thermo-e.m.f. and heat capacity of TlCoS2

Description
The temperature dependences of conductivity and thermo-e.m.f. of TlCoS2 have been investigated in a wide temperature range (77-400 K). It is found that TlCoS2 is characterized by a p-type of conductivity in the 77-225 K temperature interval and at 225 K the inversion of thermo-e.m.f. sign takes place. Besides, the heat capacity of ferromagnetic compound TlCoS2 was investigated in a temperature interval 55-300 K. It is shown that the behavior of the magnetic part of the capacity of TlCoS2 is typical of quasi-low-dimensional magnets. The experimental data on temperature dependence of heat capacity were used to calculate the thermodynamic parameters of TlCoS2 - entropy and enthalpy changes
