Description
Hall effect measurements on single crystals of NpAs2 are presented. This tetragonal compound orders at TN = 52 K with a modulated antiferromagnetic phase and becomes ferromagnetic at Tc = 18 K. The two transitions show up as peaks at Tc and TN on the Hall resistivity ρH versus temperature curve. The field dependence of ρH in the ferromagnetic region and its thermal variation in the paramagnetic range both give evidence of an electron-type conductivity. (orig.)
