Description
Chemical properties of Mo and W phosphine-hydride complexes were studied. Effect of CO2 on MoH4Li4 solutions (L=PMePh2, PBuPh2, 1, 2-bis(diphenylphosphinoethane (DPPE)) in toluene at temperature of dissolver boiling during 5-7 h results to formation of carbonyl Mo(CO3)3(PMePh2)3, Mo(CO)3(PBuPh2)3, Mo(CO)4x(PBuPh2)2 and Mo(CO)2(DPPE)2 complexes. Reduction of steric ligand demands or addition of phosphine excess to reaction mixture result in reaction deceleration. Tungsten hydrides are less reactive with respect to CO2. WH4 (DPPE)2 doesn't react with CO2 on boiling in toluene during 70 h. Complexes with monodentate phosphines (metyldiphenylphosphine, ethyldiphenylphosphine, butyldiphenylphosphine) form W(CO)3L3 tricarbonyls
