Test of JT-60 poloidal field coil power supply using dummy coil

JT-60 power supply system requires rather difficult operation, control and protection methods in a high power inductive load system from other applications to maintain high reliability and accurate controllability in addition to the main circuit complexity. In order to achieve the complete power supply for JT-60, from the beginning of the design of the components, how to test them in the factory, deliver and assemble them and most essentially how to test the performance of the power supply system as a whole on site were discussed and reflected to the design. JT-60 poloidal field coil power supply is now ready for operation, all the performance of power supply has been tested using the dummy coil at full power level
