Studies on the diagnostic X-ray equipment

  • 1. Department of Radiation Standards, Seoul (Korea, Republic of)

Description

In the more 80 years since the discovery of X-ray, many benefits have been derived from electronic products capable of producing radiation. The best known benefits are those resulting from the use of X-ray equipment for medical diagnosis. In addition recent years have witnessed a rapid increase in utilization of that device in medicine. Although the X-ray equipment have been responsible for significant human progress, they also substantially increased potential radiation hazard to human health. The final goal of the X-ray equipment is to produce a diagnostically acceptable radiograph, reducing unnecessary or unnecessary or unproductive exposure. To this end X-ray machines must be produced and controlled under a good quality assurance system. To establish proper performance standards for the equipment, we carried out an investigation into some domestic and foreign-made equipment. We were especially concerned with the limitation of X-ray beam to the size of X-ray film and radiation output reproducibility. Here we have got some useful information and report
