Clear cell sarcoma of the kidney

Description

This paper defines the CT and US findings of clear cell sarcoma of the kidney and to correlate these with pathologic data. US and CT scans of 11 children, aged 1-6 y with documented clear cell sarcoma, were reviewed retrospectively. Tumor size, calcification, and cystic versus solid components were characterized and correlated with the pathologic findings in each case. All tumors were unilateral and large, ranging in diameter from 8.5 to 16 cm. All tumors contained cysts that varied in size from a few millimeters to 5 cm. The tumors varied from being mainly solid to predominantly cystic. Inferior vena cava invasion was not detected
