Determining operability and individual forecasting using a computer in case of malignant tumor of mediastinum

Description
To compare diagnostic matrices 104 clinical histories and X-ray images of patients, suffering from malignant tumor of mediastinum were studied. 63 patients were operated and delayed results were studied in 51 of them. 61 clinicoroentgenologic characteristics (180 symptoms) were considered. Clinical histories of 25 patients served as control. Using Bayes and Vald formulae and ''Minsk-32'' computer operability was properly determined in 19 patients (76%), individual forecast in 11 (79%) patients
