Description
Two-dimensional massless four-fermion theory with several coupling constants in 1/N approximation is considered. The model is asymptotically free. In this model, dynamic violation of chiral invariance takes place and fermions acquire nonzero masses at any values of coupling constants. Two different phases with massive fermions are shown to exist. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the theory to have no ghosts are found. In the leading order in 1/N, bosons with two different masses are present in the theory
