X-ray tube equipped with a rotating anode

Description

An x-ray tube equipped with a rotating anode and with a drive motor with a rotor fixed to the anode, and with a stator around the rotor, is described. An optimum energy transfer of the stator to the rotor requires an airspalt which is as narrow as possible. However, the bridging of a high potential puts a severe limitation to this requirement. In the patent a solution to this problem, by using a stator that is composed of various radial movable sector elements, is described
