Description
On Dec. 10, 1974, Helios-I was launched into a heliocentric orbit and reached its first perihelion at 0.309 AU on March 15, 1975. The University of Kiel cosmic ray experiment on board measures protons and heavier nuclei with energies between 1.3 and several hundred MeV/N, and electrons above 0.3 MeV of solar and galactic origin. A short instrument description is given, followed by a presentation of daily mean intensities covering the time period from launch to shortly after the first perihelion. Solar particle events are identified and references are given for further discussions. (orig./WL)
Abstract (German)
(orig./WL)Additional details
