Changes in the dose-profile of a 10 MV x-ray beam within and beyond low density material

Description
The degradation of the profile of 10 MV x-ray beams and reduction in central axis dose for small fields due to loss of lateral electronic equilibrium in low density materials has been measured. The magnitude of the effect for different field sizes, depths and densities is reported
