An international view of nuclear energy

The director general of the NEA looks at the international situation of nuclear energy and the important role that it plays in electricity production in the OECD, without forgetting the development of new programmes for plants in countries such as china, India and Russia. He also deals with a wide range of social concerns in this field, such as nuclear safety, the security of the plants, waste disposal and non-proliferation. (Author)
