Shielding for accidents for the loading openings of a transport container for moulds with highly radioactive waste

Description

The purpose of the invention is to create shielding for accidents, which guarantees safe shielding of the container, if the roller slides of the container no longer turn or can be closed in the shielded position. Sufficient shielding should be guaranteed for all unloading or loading operations. This is achieved by additional shielding in the form of a lead or steel body being accomodated inside the shielding of the upper part of the loading machine which passes over the container, at the side next to the hollow for the grab, in an additional hollow space. Abstract (German)

Es wird eine Stoerfallabschirmung geschaffen, die eine sichere Abschirmung des Behaelters gewaehrleistet, wenn sich die Walzenschieber des Behaelters nicht mehr ordnungsgemaess in ihrer Abschirmstellung drehen bzw. schliessen lassen. Es soll bei allen Arbeitsablaeufen des Ent- bzw. Beladevorganges eine hinreichend gute Abschirmung gewaehrleistet sein. Dies wird dadurch erzielt, dass innerhalb der Abschirmung des Belademaschinenoberteiles, das den Behaelter uebergreift, seitlich neben dem Hohlraum fuer den Betriebsgreifer in einem weiteren Hohlraum eine Zusatzabschirmung in Form eines Blei- oder Stahlkoerpers untergebracht ist.
