Stability of Sm centers in electroluminescent ZnS:SmF3 MISIM structures during ageing

Experimental results concerning the degradation of luminescent efficiency of MISIM structures involving ZnS:SmF3 active layers during aging are presented. The brightness as a function of voltage is measured immediately after fabrication and at various times during operation. The electroluminescence spectra of long-lived structure in the range of the Sm3+4G5/2 → 6H9/2 transitions obtained at 0, 10, 104, 500, and 995 h after the beginning of operation are given. The emission spectrum does not change with time operation. It can be assumed that there is no change in concentrations of the emitting centers
