Tau polarization measurements using the pion and the lepton channels

Description
The measurements of the average τ-polarization, left angle Pτ right angle , and its forward-backward asymmetry, ApolFB at LEP using the decay channels τ→e anti νeντ, τ→μ anti νμντ and τ→π(K)ντ are presented. The experimental methods used to extract the polarization and estimate the systematic uncertainties are elaborated. By the end of 1995, the overall errors are expected to decrease by almost a factor of two. ((orig.))
