Chemical consequences of nuclear transformations

Description
Based on the agreement between theoretical descriptions and observations of initial retention as well as physical studies in solid state, the models that suggest lesser disorder are, at the moment, those that explain better most of the results found in literature. However, as the explanation of the initial retention is only part of the solid state studies, other models must be developed in order to explain the existence and the yield of all observed products as well as the effects of after irradiation treatments, which are responsible for the formation of aditional bonds. Baseados na concordancia entre as descricoes teoricas e as observacoes da retencao inicial, assim como em estudos fisicos no estado solido, os modelos que sugerem menor desordem (o do centro de desordem e o dos tres dominios), sao, ate o momento, os que melhor explicam a maior parte dos resultados acumulados na literatura. Entretanto, como a explicacao da retencao inicial e somente uma parte dos estudos que sao feitos no estado solido, outros modelos precisam ser ainda desenvolvidos para explicarem a existencia e o rendimento de todos os produtos observados, como tambem os efeitos dos tratamentos pos-irradiacao, os quais provocam a formacao de ligacoes adicionais.
