Description
Results from previous work concerning the nature and growth kinetics of carbide particles in a Zr-2.5 wt.% Nb alloy, material for pressure tubes in CANDU nuclear reactors, are compared in this work. In particular carbides precipitated in solid phases at 555 C (α-phase), 716 C (α+β two-phase structure) are compared with those precipitated at 1850 C (liquid phase). (orig.)
