Contact fusion in KNO3-NaNO3-Sr(NO3)2 system
Description
Contact fusion in KNO3-NaNO3-Sr(NO3)2 system is investigated. Temperature dependences of electromotive force, electric conductivity and intensity of electromagnetic radiation in case of contact between 40 equiv.% NaNO3+60 equiv.% Sr(NO3)2 and 40 equiv.% NaNO3+60 equiv.% KNO3 samples are presented. It is shown that with contact fusion in KNO3-NaNO3-Sr(NO3)2 three-component system liquid phase formation in a contact is preceded by diffusion processes and structure of obtained interlayer well correlates with the phase diagram and may include liquid and solid-liquid regions. Concentration distribution in liquid zone may be obtained using methods of numerical calculation. Kinetics of contact fusion in the systems considered may be controlled by electric field
