Reactivity of the C2B4H6 carborane boron-containing clusters

Description
Delays in inflammation of boron-containing clusters (C2B4H2)n in oxygen-containing media were determined experimentally at temperatures of 500-660 K and oxygen pressure of 5x10-4 - 4x10-2 MPa. Initial clusters 1-4 nm in size were prepared as a result of C2B4H6 carborane pyrolysis under controlled conditions. Dependence of inflammation delays on the cluster size, oxygen pressure and temperature, was ascertained, being provided in analytica; form. It is shown that inflammation of boron-containing clusters in oxygen occurs with activation energy of 14 kcal/mol
Abstract (Russian)
Экспериментально при температурах 500-660 К и давлении кислорода 5x10-4 - 4x10-2 МПа определены задержки воспламенения борсодержащих кластеров (С2В4Н2)n в кислородсодержащих средах. Исходные кластеры размером 1-4 нм были получены в результате пиролиза карбоната С2В4Н6 в контролируемых условиях. Установлена зависимость задержек воспламенения от размера кластеров, давления кислорода и темепературы, которая представлена в аналитической форме. Показано, что воспламенение борсодержащих кластеров в кислороде происходит с энергией активации 14 ккал/мольAdditional details
