Study of spectral complexity of Rb2 475 nm system: Perturbations in 2 1Πu state and identification of extra bands

Description

We report RE2PI spectra of the Rb2 in the 475 nm spectral region. It shows strong perturbation and several extra bands. From the low-resolution vibronic spectrum and the high-resolution analysis of the rotational structures we assign three triplet-singlet transitions as well as two singlet-singlet transitions. The magnitude of the interaction between the 2 1Πu v'=7 level and nearby 3 3Σu+ vobronic level was determined by two-determined by two-state deperturbation analysis.
