Assessment of surface air tritium concentrations in NPP vicinity
Description
The results of tritium concentration measurements in ground level air in the vicinity of nuclear power plant were given. The samples of atmospheric moisture were collected by the method freezing-out under the nuclear power plants plume. The plumes localization was determined by measuring of meteorological elements and of the intensity of gamma radiation in air. A comparison of the measured and the theoretically evaluated concentrations was carried out. It was shown that maximum and minimum values of measured and calculated concentrations were coincident. The prospects of the method application to tritium concentration assessment in NPP environmental humidity are marked
