When light means gold

Solar energy, which today is not a profitable energy source, shows a 20 to 45% growth per year. This paradoxal situation is explained by the multiple incentives and subsidies implemented by governments in the framework of their policy of development of renewable energy sources. The solar market is developing and competition is becoming harder. This paper presents an overview of photovoltaic and solar thermal energy development in Western Europe countries. (J.S.)
