Denmark: after a tough ten years things are looking better

Description

The Danish natural gas project which covers five distribution companies and one transmission company is described. The causes of the economic problems including slow take-up of gas, and the difference between the estimated investment required and the actual investment needed are examined. The Energy Action Plan 2000 paving the way for increased sales of gas to the electric power industry and for district heating plants is detailed, and tax exemptions, and the need to adjust to greater competition are discussed.
