Thermoluminescence of α-Al2O3 dosimetric crystals
Creators
Description
The results of experimental and theoretical studies on thermoluminescence of dosimetric crystals on the basis of anion-defective corundum are systematized. It is shown that the totality of all observed peculiarities: dependence of thermoluminescence yield on heating rate, temperature position of thermoluminescence peak and its form on radiation dose and heating rate, decrease in the average activation energy within the limits of dosimetric peak is conditioned by one process: the F-centers luminescence quenching. Proves of quenching links with presence of oxygen vacancies of thermochemical or radiation origin are presented
