Leak testing equipment for nuclear power plant steam generator

The equipment consists of a tube with a double wall. The tube is provided with a jacket and a thermocouple thermometer and the intermediate space is filled with gas, preferably with helium. This intermediate space is connected on one side via at least one nozzle and one valve to superheated steam and on the other side the intermediate space is connected with tubes to the indication chamber. At least one of the leakage indicators is a moisture meter and at least one is a gas manometer. The intermediate space may also be connected via one valve to a vessel provided with a pressure gauge. The equipment allows to model space conditions in a system of capillaries of intermediate spaces to a ratio of 1:1 and may be used in the development of a leak detector system for steam generators in nuclear power plants with fast sodium cooled reactors in the heat transfer tube with a double wall and gas in the intermediate space.
