Process and device for ultrasonic detection of leaking fuel pencils in a fuel assembly
Description
The fuel assembly is dipped vertically into a swimming pool. Pencils from the assembly presenting cracks are detected by ultrasonic wave emission along pencil length and by measurement of ultrasonic wave attenuation produced by water inside pencils with cracked cladding
