Recent results of the European muon collaboration (EMC) on fragmentation
Description
Strange particle production is in agreement with the basic expectations from the Quark Parton Model (QPM) is observed and reviewed. The energy distribution of inclusively produced vector mesons become gradually harder as the mass of the vector meson increases. In exclusive vector meson production the process changes from a soft diffractive type interaction to a hard pointlike electromagnetic interaction with increasing mass of the virtual photon
