Creators

Description
The electrodeposition of Y-Ba-Cu alloyed layers from aqueous and non aqueous bath is reported. The layers are deposited on a silver coils. Electrolytic bath was prepared by using reagent grade nitrates of yttrium, barium and copper. Thickness of the deposit was found to lie in the range of 5 to 6 microns for deposition period of 30 minutes. The films oxidised at elevated temperature shows superconductivity above 77K. The films obtained from non aqueous bath, oxidised at 750 degC for 15 minutes show superconducting properties. (author). 11 refs., 1 tab
