- 1. Vsesoyuznyj Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Inst. Khimicheskikh Reaktivov i Osobo Chistykh Veshchestv, Moscow (USSR)
Description
KLn(SO4)2 (Ln=Gd-Tm) have been prepared by the hydrothermal method. The KEr(SO4)2 crystal structure has been measured (CAD-4, autodiffractometer, lambdaMo, least square method from 1475 independent reflections up to R=0.044 and Rsub(ω)=0.055) to be: a=5.435(1), b=13.342(1), c=8.738(1) A, β=92.80(1) deg, Z=4, rho=4.182(2) g/cm3, F.gr. P21/n. The structure represents a skeleton with channels in which potassium cations are located. The KEr(SO4)2 structure is compared with that of the KPr(SO4)2 and KNd(SO4)2
