Localized corrosion problems in water reactors
Description
Main localized etching on the structure materials of water reactors are studied: stress corrosion on stainless steel 304 (B.W.R), stress corrosion, 'wall thinning' and denting of Inconel 600 vapor generator tubes (P.W.R.). Some mechanisms are examined and practical exemples in reactors are described. Various possible cures are presented

On etudie les principales attaques localisees intervenant sur les materiaux de structure des reacteurs a eau legere: corrosion sous contrainte des aciers inoxydables du type 304 (B.W.R.), corrosion sous contrainte, 'wall thinning', 'denting', des tubes de generateurs de vapeur en Inconel 600 (P.W.R.).
