Description
From identifying and quantifying risks to planning mitigation actions, One Hanford is working together, across contract and facility lines to make a difference in reducing mission risk. A recent example is mitigation of the risk that I-129 will exceed less than Hazard Category 3 limits at the Effluent Treatment Facility. A multi-organization Fix-It-Now team was assembled to quantify the risk, determine immediate response actions if the risk is realized, and provide recommendations for long-term mitigation options. This paper discusses the risk and actions that the One Hanford team completed to provide confidence that the risk has been mitigated. (authors)
