Modelling of the effects of radiative and limits heat transfer in the MHD Ekman layer on a porous plate
Description
A theoretical analysis of a radiactive steady, viscous flow past a porous flat plate at zero incidence in a rotating of reference is presented for both optically-thick limits. The temperature distribution for a radietive MHD Ekman layer on the porous plate, subject to a uniform magnetic field, is studie. This study is undertaken for the two cases: (1) the plate is maintained at a constant temperature; and (2) the plate is insulated. It is seen that radiation has a signifcant effect on temperature distribution for both these cases in the above two limits. (author). 12 refs
