This study assesses the development potential of thalasso-thermal energy in the three French Mediterranean regions. It presents a survey of existing projects in mainland France and the various technologies encountered. It summarizes the potential environmental impacts on the marine environment. Based on feedback from operating facilities, technical and regulatory criteria were identified and selected to identify sites favorable to the development of this sector

Abstract (French)

Cette etude porte sur l'evaluation d'un potentiel de developpement de la thalassothermie sur les trois regions de Mediterranee francaise. Elle presente un recensement des projets existants en France metropolitaine et les differentes technologies rencontrees. Elle synthetise les eventuels impacts environnementaux pouvant affectes le milieu marin. Sur la base des retours d'experiences des installations en exploitation, des criteres techniques et reglementaires ont ete releves puis selectionnes afin d'identifier des sites favorables au developpement de la filiere
