Infrared spectra of α- and #betta#-SrHPO4

Description
The results of infrared spectroscopic investigation of SrHPO4 α- and #betta#-modifications at 20 deg and 180 deg are represented. The analysis of infrared spectra of the α- and #betta#-SrHPO4, α- and #betta#-SrDPO4, their temperature changes and comparison with the literature data permit to conclude, that the strong H-bonds are present in the α-SrHPO4 and #betta#-SrHPO4 structure, the formation of which results in considerable decrease of the v(OH) frequency and complication of this band, as well stipulates the high values of the delta- and #betta#-POH frequencies. Number and position of the vibrational frequencies in the #betta# and delta(PO) region are in agreement with low site-symmetry of the (C1) phosphate tetrahedron in the α- and #betta#-SrHPO4 lattice. The deviations from the centrosymmetry increasing at the temperature decrease take place alreadly at the room temperature in the α-SrHPO4 structure
