Description

The specific electric conductivity σ of the fullerene C60 crystals is measured under the conditions of the quasi-isentropic compression through the washed-out shock wave up to the pressure of 200 kbar at the initial temperatures of T = 293 K and 77 K. As a result the sharp increase in σ with 10-6 - 10-7 ohm-1 cm-1 under normal conditions up to 5 ohm-1 cm-1 is registered within the pressure range of 100-200 kbar. The electric conductivity of samples under pressure decreases with the decrease in the temperature, which is peculiar to the semiconductors. It is established, that the σ value after pressure release restores its initial position
