Global gene expression induced by high LET charged particles in normal human fibroblasts

Description
Using cDNA microarray technology, we set out to investigate the global transcriptional effects of Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC) irradiation, using primary human skin fibroblasts (HSF). We have performed cell irradiation using several types of heavy ion beams at HIMAC facility. The interim data show that there is a tremendous change of gene expression in response to radiation.
