UO2-fuel dissolution as a function of alpha-dose rate in Boom Clay environment

Description

The paper discusses the the dissolution of UO2 spent fuel in disposal conditions of the Boom Clay formation. Particular emphasis is on the role of alpha-radiolysis on the dissolution of UO2. Experimental results obtained from studies on alpha-irradiated uranium dioxide in the presence of Boom Clay pore water are presented and discussed
