Electron beam transport in a rarefied gas

Description
Electron beam transport process in rarefied gas, which is mainly determined with nonlinear processes of beam and plasma interaction, is simulated at the ES-1060 computer. The model takes account of gas ionization with electron beam; interaction of beam electrons with electrons of produced plasma in self-congruent electrostatic field; gas ionization with plasma electrons if their energy becomes enough high as a result of the beam-plasma interaction; elastic collisions of electrons with neutral gas and recombination of plasma electrons with positive ions
