Error rate performance of FH/DPSK system in EMP environments

Description

In this paper, the effect of nuclear EMP interference on FH/DPSK system performance has been analyzed. EMP-induced interferer at recevier is modeled as an exponential damped sinusoidal wave in time. The error rate equation of received FH/DPSK signal has been derived and evaluated in terms of M(ary number) , CIR(carrier power to initial interference power ratio), and α(damping factor). The numerical results are given in graphs to discuss the EMP-induced interference effect on the FH/DPSK system performance. (Author)
