Development and irradiation behavior of the Jülich sphere and particle experiments
Description
Automatic translation: The following report is intended to provide an overview of the development and irradiation behavior of the irradiation facilities for coated particles (JP rigs) and irradiation facilities for shot fuel elements (JK rigs). The report was compiled with the assistance of Ing. grad. F. Schmidt ZIR / EA. He is project engineer for the above mentioned irradiation facilities and carried out the irradiations until 1967. The modifications and improvements to the rigs were initiated by him. In the course of the 6 years of irradiation, the JP rigs went from from a simple, unflushed single-capsule rig to a high-performance 4-capsule rig. The basic concept of the JK rigs has been retained.
Abstract (German)
Der nachfolgende Bericht soll einen Überblick geben über die Entwicklung und das Bestrahlungsverhalten der Bestrahlungseinrichtungen für beschichtete Teilchen (JP-Rigs) und Bestrahlungseinrichtungen für Kugelbrennelemente (JK-Rigs). Der Bericht wurde unter Mitarbeit von Herrn Ing. grad. F. Schmidt ZIR / EA zusammengestellt. Er ist Projektingenieur für die oben genannten Bestrahlungseinrichtungen und hat bis 1967 die Bestrahlungen durchgeführt. Die Änderungen und Verbesserungen an den Rigs sind von ihm veranlaßt worden. Die JP-Rigs sind im Laufe der 6-jährigen Bestrahlungen von einem einfachen, ungespülten Einkapselrig zu einem leistungsfähigen 4-Kapselrig entwickelt worden. Die Grundkonzeption der JK-Rigs ist beibehalten worden.Files
