Optimal control of a nuclear power plant

  • 1. Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Catholic Univ. of America, Washington, DC 20064

Description

A method is developed to determine the time dependent input control parameters necessary to closely approximate a certain prescribed behavior in a nuclear power plant. The method utilizes modern optimal control techniques and is demonstrated using a simple model of a pressurized water reactor
