An excitation function of particle production at the AGS
- 1. Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Laboratory for Nuclear Science, Cambridge, Massachusetts 02135 (United States)
Description
Preliminary results on particle production from the recent energy scan at the AGS are presented. Results on π and K+ yields at mid-rapidity as a function of both beam energy and centrality are examined. Indications are that the evolution of particle production with beam energy is smooth, with no evidence of an onset of anomalous production
