Superconducting microprobe at Bochum
- 1. Ruhr Univ., Bochum (Germany). Inst. fuer Phys. mit Ionenstrahlen
Description
The ion optical properties of a new heavy ion microprobe (with a superconducting lens) are described, including the determination of the lens errors, methods to characterize a lens misalignment, and operational results. These properties are important for the application of analytical techniques (RBS, PIXE and NRA) as well as for the modification (implantation) of samples on the micrometer scale. (orig.)
