Description
The French-built Signe II MP experiment, launched aboard the Soviet Prognoz-6 satellite, for the study of solar and cosmic X and gamma ray bursts, is described. The Prognoz mission is explained, and the operating modes and characteristics of the experiments are given. Future projects in the Signe program are discussed. (orig.)
