On chiral symmetry breaking in QCD2(Nc → ∞)
Description
Different phases of the two-dimensional QCD2(Nc) field theory are considered. In the weak coupling regime (Nc → ∞, g2Nc=const, g/Nc=-(g2Nc/12π)1/2. Another important characteristic of the vacuum is found, namely, the gluon condensate, /Nc2=-g2Nc/6. The absence of the chiral condensate in the strong coupling regime (g >> mq) is shown explicity, that is in agreement with the Coleman theorem
