Method for the separation of radioactive iodine isotopes
Description
For a quantitative separation of radioiodine isotopes during nuclear power plant operation even in the presence of organic solvents in the gas flow it is proposed to heat the gas flow or the sorbent layer to such a temperature that the organic solvents no longer load the filter. According to the invention, the concentration of the organic solvents is measured using a flame ionisation detector, and the measured value is used to control the sorption temperature. (HP)

Um beim Betrieb von KKWs auffallende radioaktive Iodisotope quantitativ abzuscheiden, auch bei Anwesenheit von organischen Loesemitteln in Gasstrom, wird vorgeschlagen, den Gasstrom oder die Sorptionsmittelschicht soweit aufzuheizen, den die organischen Loesemittel den Filter nicht mehr belasten. Erfindungsgemaess wird die Konzentration den organischen Loesemittel mit einem Flammenionisationsdetektor gemessen und diese Messgroesse zum Regeln der Sorptionstemperatur benutzt. (HP)Files
