The influence of the east-Urals radioactive trace on the river Kamenka

Description

To evaluate the contamination of the river Kamenka and its tributaries under the East-Urals radioactive trace, the contents of cesium 137, strontium 90 and total beta-activity in water, plants and bottom sediments are determined. The maximum concentration of strontium 90 in the tributaries of the Kamenka since the Kyshtym accident (36 years ago) today is equal or higher than that is such rivers as Dnieper, Teterev, Irpen 2-4 year after Chernobyl accident. The concentration of cesium-137 in the tributaries of the river is not so high. Beta-activity content in bottom sediments is fluctuates in wide range
