Gamma spectroscopic investigations of 81Rb
Description
The decay of 81Rb was studied with the aid of the reactions 79Br(α,2nγ), 68Zn(16O,p2n), and 65Cu(19F,p2n)81Rb. The γ single spectra, γγ coincidence, γ angular distributions, and an excitation function of the γ intensities were measured. 38 new γ transitions could be classified within an extended level diagram. Among these, there is a cascade which can be interpreted within the framework of the coupling pattern of the rotational axes as a decoupled band on the isomer level 9/2+. The lifetime of the 13/2+ level (tau = 8.7 +- 0.5 ps), measured with the Recoil Distance Doppler Shift Method, agrees with the prediction of the model. (orig.)

Der Zerfall des 81Rb wurde mit Hilfe der Reaktionen 79Br(α,2nγ), 68Zn(16O,p2n) und 65Cu(19F,p2n)81Rb untersucht. Gemessen wurden γ-Einzelspektren, γγ-Koinzidenzen, γ-Winkelverteilungen und eine Anregungsfunktion der γ-Intensitaeten. Es konnten 38 neue γ-Uebergaenge in ein erweitertes Termschema eingeordnet werden. Darunter befindet sich eine Kaskade, die sich im Rahmen des Rotationsachsenkopplungsschemas als entkoppelte Bande auf dem isomeren 9/2+ Niveau interpretieren laesst. Die nach der Recoil Distance Doppler Shift Methode gemessene Lebensdauer des 13/2+ Niveaus (tau = 8,7 +- 0,5 ps) stimmt mit den Voraussagen des Modells ueberein. (orig.)
