Direct hydrogenation of boron and its derivatives to diborane (B2H6)

Description
A review of patents and literature on the subject of diborane (B2H6) preparation have been presented. In the experimental part it has been investigated the reaction of triethylborane hydrogenation with hydrogen in the presence of five different catalysts, and on the basis of the obtained results, the most effective one has been selected, and then used in the successive reactions of direct reduction with hydrogen of boron, boron oxide, borax and trisodium orto-boron.
