Erosive effects in liquid lithium

Description
Results are reported of experimental testing to investigate the potential erosive effect of liquid lithium at 2700C and velocities up to 24 ms-1, on type 304 stainless steel. Two experiments were performed in order to compare data from a conventional flow-through isothermal test leg with those from specimens attached to the circumference of a rotating disc in static lithium
